Five Star Maintenance can provide all doors, their furniture and signs to comply with Fire Precautions act 1971, Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 as amended by the Fire Precautions (Workplace) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and Draft Order: The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2004 when the proposed Fire Safety Legislation is placed on the statute book. We advise our customers to check these and any amendments to see that they comply.
Your means of escape in case of fire has to be maintained and unobstructed. All fire doors should be operating correctly and all doors are available when the premises are occupied. Other requirement may be enforced such as magnetic door catches be released at certain times and checked to see if they are working satisfactory.
